The article deals with different ways of improving and developing the pedagogical skills of teachers-researchers in a technical higher education institution. In particular, the stages of a teacher's pedagogical mastery, the formation of the teacher's personal qualities, as well as conditions of the teacher's formation and self-development were considered.
