Abstract

 The article deals with some pressing issues faced by high and higher schools in Great Britain, the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Finland, Canada, Greece and some other countries. Reviewed are a number of new trends in education. Analysed are the latest publications in the press and some statistics are given.
