Abstract

Today, scientists are still debating the dangerous impact of vegetable oil on aquatic ecosystems, equating them to oil. Ukraine lacks relevant regulatory documents confirming its negative impact on the environment. This situation is due to the lack of research and the bias of outdated information that oil is an organic substance and quickly decomposes in water. For the Mykolaiv region, this problem has been relevant since 2022, when, due to the terrorist actions of the aggressor, emergency leaks occurred, which caused large-scale pollution of natural reservoirs of the Mykolaiv region with corresponding consequences for biota.
