Abstract

Military operations significantly affect the quality of Ukraine's water resources, as a large number of pollutants enter them through the explosions of oil storage facilities, fuel and lubricants warehouses, as well as through the destruction of the infrastructure of enterprises and treatment facilities by the aggressor. There is also a risk of damage to nuclear power plant reactors, and because of this, the leakage of radioactivity into nearby aquatic ecosystems. Therefore, studies of the accumulative capacity of the biota of freshwater ecosystems around nuclear power plants are relevant.
