The article reveals the problem of modern methodological discourse in the analysis of social history and economic activities. The attention is focused on the method of "analytical narrative" which promotes the construction of a clear theoretical concept. The role of cultural and institutional factors in the implementation of the objectives of the subjects of the social process is emphasized.
