EFFECTIVENESS EVALUATION OF IMAGES WITH QUALITY LOSS IN INFORMATION AND TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

In operation is carried out the comparative assessment of the known and developed compression methods with quality loss on a level of compact representation. The number of the operations spent for processing of positional numbers with unequal adjacent elements is defined. As a result, it is determined that the proposed compression method based on the formation of generalized codewords and preliminary identification of the apertures in the mode of loss of quality the compression level for the highly saturated images of up to 7 times, and for medium-saturated images up to 10 times.The maximum level of compression is reached for images with low concentration of details. Extent of compression for the offered method exceeds extent of compression of known methods with quality loss on the average for 10% for the peak relation signal / noise at the level of 55 dB.
