LIFE COURSE OF PAULO FREIRE

The article reveals main life course periods of Paulo Freire – a famous Brazilian educator, teacher, philosopher, politician and public figure of XX century. It is paid attention to such aspects as his family, education, educational and political activity, exile, coming back to Brazil and work in different organizations. The formation of principles on the basis of the researched materials about the political climate in Brazil, in particular the economic crisis as well as main stages of Freire’s life is highlighted. The biographical data of such prominent personality in the field of pedagogy and philosophy is determined. It is identified that the life course of Paulo Freire is insufficiently researched in Ukrainian pedagogy. Some works of the Brazilian educator are described for better understanding of his views and beliefs.
