Abstract

This report examines the role of international judicial institutions, such as the International Criminal Court and the UN courts, in the formation and development of the doctrine of individual criminal responsibility. It examines the important precedents that have contributed to the development of the concept of individual criminal responsibility for international crimes, including genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
