The article considers the prospects for the application of nanostructures, the results of the study of the influence of the proportion of titanium carbide in hard alloys on the nature of the formation of nanostructures in the surface layer are given. The most favorable ratio of hard alloy components has been determined, at which the probability of formation of a nanostructure with the smallest size will be maximum.
