Synthesis of structurizated Pd-Al2O3-catalysts for reduction of nitrogene oxides with methane

Abstract

 A method of developing surface of ceramic block matrices of honeycomb structure (made of cordierite) by depositing highly dispersed alumina as secondary support has been proposed. It has been shown that modifying secondary support with rare earth elements’ oxides (La2O3, Ce2O3) leads to enhancing its thermostability. An optimum content of palladium in structurizated catalysts for reduction of nitrogene oxides with methane is 0,5%. Model tests were carried out to demonstrate high effectivity of said catalysts which surpass conventional granulated ones.
