Centenary of Tunguska phenomenon. Space threat and methods of planetary protection

Abstract

The effects of flyby of Tunguska meteorite, Sikhote-Alin meteorite and Vitim bolide are described. Physical effects and ecological implications of an impact between the Earth and asteroids or comets are considered. Methods of planetary protection from space threat are analyzed.
