Development of galactic and extragalactic astronomy in Kharkov University

Abstract

Development of investigations in field of galactic and extragalactic in Kharkov University since the moment of their beginnings (from 90th years of XX century) is analyzing. Three periods are distinguished: before the 30th, between 30th and 70th, and after the 70th years of the XX century. Information about the most essential scientific results, carried out by collaborators of Astronomical observatory and chair of astronomy during 110 years, is presented here.
