The article examines the issue of forming a valuable attitude to the health of gifted pupils of out-of-school education institutions. The main philosophical and pedagogical approaches of the figures of the Enlightenment era to the formation of an attitude to health as an important life value are characterized. The role of extracurricular education in the development of value orientations of gifted pupils in the context of their socio-cultural development is highlighted.
